What I've Learned...

So, I've been thinking...I've read forever and have been shaped by each and every book that I've met.  As the mother of a teenaged SPAWN, I am constantly trying to pass on lil nuggets of wisdom and am often met with the question..."Mom, did that happen in a book?" along with an eye roll and a thrown hip.  Sometimes its yes and sometimes its no, but just because it comes from a book doesn't mean it doesn't count.

After our nightly catch up conversation last night she informed me that Sunday should be "Sunday Spawn Speak", because she needs to be heard. After laughing my ass off, I had to agree. You see I'm a very young mom to a very sarcastic and wonderfully brilliant Spawn, thus my life is filled with WTF moments and prayers for the universe to just swallow me whole. I can only promise honesty, which will be hilarious.

Back to lessons learned, here are just a few...

1. Every girl is a princess at heart, it just takes a bit of confidence and a real love of life for it to show.
A LITTLE PRINCESS by Frances Hodgson Burnett
2. Good friends help you live life well. Great friends help you to LIVE.
     BREATHING SERIES by Rebecca Donovan
3. Love...real love isn't always nice and sweet. Sometimes it's nasty, dirty and bad for you. It's for you and only you to decide what and when is enough.
     UNDENIABLE SERIES by Madeline Sheehan
4. There are men out there who do in fact love a woman with sass and brains.
     ANYTHING WRITTEN by Kristen Ashley
5. When you find your dream man/woman they may not be the dream to everyone else. Again life isn't black and white and it's your choice how much grey you live in.
     KNIGHT by Kristen Ashley
6. People always show you who they really are. It's your choice to see it or not.
    AVOIDING SERIES by K.A. Linde

I could ramble on FOREVER...really I can. I love me a soapbox and an audience.  But at least it gives a glimpse into the insanity of my mind and the authors/stories that I'm obsessed with. I'll start to post reviews of some of my past faves as well as new finds. I hope you'll love them as much as I did and if you haven't found them yet that I can point you in the right direction.

Happy Reading!
